Slot M.2 is another simple and easy way to set speed SSD in addition to classical computer port SATA. Today slots M.2 widespread, but there are drives that use a different slot – but provide a high level of performance. We have in mind the interface U.2 and SFF-8639. Here, too, there are four lines PCI Express, which gives hope for a high data rate.

However, what if the motherboard uses only slots M.2, and you want to use the SSD interface U.2 / SFF-8639 (for example, new family of Intel SSD 750 )? MSI also offers a similar opportunity with the card adapter Turbo U.2 Host Card. Card is inserted into the slot M.2, at the other end, it offers an interface SFF-8639. Both interfaces are supported at speeds up to 32 Gbit / s, which corresponds to four lines PCI Express. Map Turbo U.2 Host Card is compatible with any slot M.2, and you do not have to use a motherboard MSI. No drivers are required. Dimensions of the card are 22 x 80 x 15 mm (W x D x H).

MSI Turbo U.2 Host Card will be available in online stores at a price of 25 euros.
