Lenovo Moto X 2016 - two modular smartphones will be presented June 9

Recently, one of the leaders of Lenovo, Yang Yuanqing said that on June 9th, 2016, the Chinese company plans to introduce its new “exciting” device.

Now we know what he was talking about a completely new smartphone that was created in collaboration with Google within Tango project. This means that the new product will have a modular design. However, it is not all that company Lenovo planned to introduce.

According to a well-known source @evleaks, at a conference to be held June 10, 2016 at 10:00 PST, in addition to the modular smartphone Project Tango, Lenovo may introduce two new smartphones Moto X, which have code names Vertex and Vector Thin.

  • Main camera 13 megapixel with laser autofocus, image stabilization and LED flash;
  • Battery: 3500 mAh;
  • Case thickness 7 mm;

Specifications Moto X Vector Thin:

  • Screen: 5.5-inch, AMOLED matrix QHD (1440 × 256 pixels) resolution;
  • Processor: quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz;
  • Graphics: Adreno 530;
  • RAM: 3 to 4 GB;
  • Internal Memory: 32 GB;
  • Main camera 16 megapixel with laser PDAF autofocus, image stabilization and LED flash;
  • Battery: 2600 mAh;
  • Case thickness 5.2 mm;

As well as new flagship LG G5, smartphones Lenovo Vertex and Vector Thin will have a modular design. This means that we will be able to connect additional modules to Lenovo smartphone.

It is planned that additional modules available for Moto X 2016 will include an extra battery, stereo speakers, camera with flash and optical zoom, the projector and so on. It is interesting that as well as the LG, Lenovo is planning to provide an opportunity produce additional modules for its smartphones from other manufacturers.
